Community Development Input Sessions

cdbgThe community is invited to attend work sessions to think about and provide input on potential community development projects for the city of Tiffin. We will also be discussing one major funding source, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, and seeking to identify potential projects that fit that program.

Community Development can be defined as activities that “build stronger and more resilient communities through an ongoing process of identifying and addressing needs, assets, and priority investments. Community development activities may support infrastructure, economic development projects, installation of public facilities, community centers, tiffin logohousing rehabilitation, public services, clearance/acquisition, microenterprise assistance, code enforcement, homeowner assistance and many other identified needs” (US Department of Housing and Urban Development).

The information gathered will be provided to a variety of nonprofit and governmental organizations who work on community development projects and will help inform long-term plans. We welcome your ideas!
