If you are interested in increasing your international business, this will be of interest. On the morning of August 9 (Tuesday), representatives of the State of Ohio will be visiting Seneca County to discuss a couple of their programs to help Ohio companies export. Please let us know if you are interested in a visit at your place of business. Please let David Zak (email@example.com) know by close of business on Monday, August 1.
Two of the programs they are looking to highlight and promote are the following:
The Ohio Export Internship Program is designed for companies that are looking to export for the first time or to improve their current export initiatives. The program will match companies with highly motivated students who have taken export-focused coursework, while providing a 50 percent reimbursement for the intern wages. This exciting internship program will offer a mutually beneficial relationship to students and companies alike by providing real-world experiences where both can learn and grow.
The Ohio International Market Access Grant for Exporters (IMAGE), funded by the state of Ohio and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), is designed to increase exports and create jobs. The IMAGE grant offers financial assistance for small businesses to promote their products and services in international markets. The grant will provide a 50 percent reimbursement up to $10,000 per fiscal year for qualifying activities.
