Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital and Mercy Health – Willard Hospital receive five stars from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services released the most recent Hospital Compare data ranking both Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital and Mercy Health – Willard Hospital with five stars. This rating places the Mercy Health facilities in Tiffin and Willard among the highest ranked hospitals in the nation.

The data includes specific measures of hospitals’ quality of care, many of which are updated quarterly, and the Overall Hospital Star Ratings, which were last updated in December 2017. The data is collected through CMS’s Hospital Quality Initiative programs.

According to CMS, the Star Ratings were designed to drive systematic improvements in care and safety as hospitals strive to achieve and maintain high ratings.

Both Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital and Mercy Health – Willard Hospital have been recognized as top hospitals in the region for patient safety in the past. Also recently, Mercy Health - Tiffin Home Care received a five start rating from CMS, which is based on a review of eight process and outcome quality measures

Mercy Health – Tiffin Hospital additionally was listed on the 2019 Top 100 Hospital by Chartis Center for Rural Health.
