TIFFIN, OHIO – April 21, 2020 – In an effort to provide safe, personal protective equipment for everyone in the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, local residents and organizations have partnered with the #InThisTogetherOhio initiative to distribute face masks at no cost to Seneca County residents. Masks come in adult sizes and no cost masks are to be provided to individuals, one per person. Supplies are limited.

The masks, which feature the #InThisTogetherOhio logo, are made in the USA and are produced with limited human contact to ensure safety. Masks are a cotton/polyester blend, one size fits all, and are designed to cover the wearer’s nose and mouth. Masks are intended for non-clinical and limited exposure settings.

A link to request a mask is at SenecaCountyMasks.com or by calling Simply Susan’s at (419) 443-0882. To maintain social distancing, there will be no in-person requests of the masks and masks will be delivered free of charge while supplies last.

The project is being done to complement and recognize the good work of other local efforts, such as Helping Hands in Seneca County.

To raise additional funds to ensure a supply of masks for everyone that wants one, the Seneca County Masks group will be selling #InThisTogetherOhio logo T-shirts, hoodies and onesies at Simply Susan’s. Up to four masks and shipping costs are covered for every adult T-shirt or hoodie purchased (up to two for kids shirts and onesies). In addition, a page on Simply Susan’s website will have an option to donate $10 toward the project.

Businesses interested in providing donations toward masks or wanting to purchase for employees may contact Nick Dutro at dutro@tiffinseneca.org.
