Findlay Machine & Tool had more than 30 years of business building industrial parts washers in Findlay. FMT has a plastics division that will continue to operate in Findlay. AMI will be manufacturing the equipment at its plant in Tiffin under the FMT brand, and is adding 13 employees from FMT to the AMI staff.

“The work being done at Findlay Machine & Tool fits perfectly with what we were already doing at AMI, and diversifies our product offerings,” President and Owner Zach Arnold said. “We’re excited to be bringing that production and these highly skilled workers to Tiffin.”

President and Owner Zach Arnold started Arnold Machine in a garage as a small custom machine shop, beginning with machining and fabricating, in 1994. The business grew quickly, and branched out into designing and manufacturing automation systems in a 50,000 square foot building in the Northstar Industrial Park in Tiffin. The company now has more than a hundred customers throughout the United States, including Commercial Metals Company, Sonoco, Bridgestone, Cooper Tires, Libbey, Nucor, Whirlpool, Roush Fenway Racing, National Machinery, NISIN and SSC. In 2016, AMI announced a $1.6 million, 25,000 square foot addition to their facility, which has since been completed.

“I’m excited to see Arnold Machine expanding and continuing to grow and invest in Tiffin,” said Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz.
