Industrial Wage and Benefits Report available

First comprehensive report in more than a decade includes data from seven counties.

TIFFIN, OHIO – October 25, 2021 – Seneca County Department of Job & Family Services (JFS) and Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership (TSEP) announced today that a Wage & Benefits report is now available to the general public. The final report, received Aug. 2, 2021, initially was sent only to participating employers.

This project started in May 2021 and was made possible by funding received by Seneca County JFS/OhioMeansJobs and Sandusky County JFS/OhioMeansJobs from the Greater Ohio Workforce Board. As a result of a partnership, the report includes data from 123 employers in Seneca and Sandusky counties as well as from Erie, Hancock, Huron, Lucas, and Wyandot counties. The report focuses primarily on industrial employers, including manufacturing, logistics, and warehousing.

Carol Owen, Business Services Consultant for OhioMeansJobs Seneca County, said: “Employers have been asking for this data for years, and I’m proud that we were able to secure the funding to be able to finally able to provide them with this valuable information.”

Seneca County Commissioner Mike Kerschner welcomed the announcement: "We appreciate Seneca County Department of Job & Family Services securing $23,000 in grant funding to get this important report completed, and we are glad it is now available to the entire business community."

Thomas P. Miller and Associates of Indianapolis, Indiana was selected to conduct the survey. TPMA was founded in 1989 and has been completing wage and benefit surveys for the past 15 years in more than 40 states, with clients including small rural towns, state agencies, educational institutions, and publicly traded companies.
