TIFFIN, OHIO – Monday, February 21, 2022 – Tiffin-Seneca Economic Partnership (TSEP) announced today that owner of a long-standing Seneca County restaurant is wanting to sell the business and real estate. Detailed information about this opportunity, codenamed “Project Mallard,” can be found on TSEP’s “Entrepreneurial Opportunity Clearinghouse” at tseoc.org. The opportunity will remain open from now until April 22, 2022.

The business owner wishes to remain anonymous at this time and is seeking to sell the business as soon as possible. The owner is asking $375,000 for the business, real estate, inventory, and their beer and wine carry-out license. Annual sales are approximately $475,000 with a 28 percent profit margin. Currently, the business has four full-time employees. Following the purchase, the seller can provide 30 days of introductory support to acclimate the new owner to the business.

The restaurant is currently located in a 1,700 square foot space which is included in the purchase price.

Current board president of the Seneca County Commissioners Anthony Paradiso stated his support of the project. “The Entrepreneurial Opportunity Clearinghouse has a proven track record of success connecting business owners who want to retire with entrepreneurs who want to build something. I hope that this opportunity succeeds in keeping a successful business in Seneca County.”

Eligible parties may include people wanting to run and/or own the business, but don’t have to be both. The Tiffin-Seneca Entrepreneurial Opportunity Clearinghouse (TSEOC), launched in April 2021, is designed to facilitate the flow of entrepreneurial talent and capital to new business start-up, franchise, and business acquisition opportunities. There may be investors that do not want to run the business but would be willing to invest if a competent entrepreneur and business manager could be found. Interested parties should contact Adam Gillmor, Development Coordinator at TSEP, at gillmor@tiffinseneca.org, or by phone at 614.725.8086.
