Lange Gordon Rannigan & Claus approved for grant

Five Building Owners Invest Nearly $80,000

TIFFIN, OHIO – April 19, 2022 – Today, the Architectural Board of Review (ABR) approved a Façade Enhancement Grant for the Lange Gordon Rannigan & Claus building located at 27 Court St.

The ABR approved a grant of nearly $4,000 for the restoration of the second and third floor windows for this property at 27 Court St. The ABR approved additional projects for exterior resurfacing at Big Mikes, located at 274 S Washington St., window mural signage for Decker’s Outlet, located at 139 South Washington Street, new signage at the Seneca County Justice Center, located at 103 E Market St., and for bicentennial window clings for downtown businesses. Combined, these projects total nearly $80,000 in investment in Downtown Tiffin.

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz commented: “It is great to see the growth downtown continue as a result of the investments from our building and business owners. The momentum continues with no end in sight.”

Since the Façade Enhancement Program’s inception in 2014, 107 projects have been approved for a total downtown investment of $2.9 million.

About the Façade Enhancement Program

The Façade Enhancement Program is a City of Tiffin reimbursement grant that was started in 2014 and provides a 50 percent match of funds for eligible exterior improvements on residential and commercial structures within the downtown historic district, up to $10,000.
