Nate Mullins announced today that he has signed a lease to open a new studio for his Heart of Ohio Sports media company. The new multi-functional space, titled Studio², will be located at 193 S. Washington St. and should be open by the end of July or early August.

Heart of Ohio Sports is an online sports livestream and broadcast media company and is a part of Mullins Entertainment Productions, LLC which was launched in 2014. The business has ramped up this year to include six employees and expects to be at eight by the end of the year. The company has made significant investments in state-of-the-art computing, monitors, cameras, and audio interface equipment, and it broadcasts games on various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and on their website, which is currently under development.

In making the announcement, Mullins also explained why he is growing his business here and the long-term vision for the company: “When we start out, I want it to be in Tiffin. I feel like this is where we will see the most support, simply because this is such a great place to do business. It truly is full of community minded family-owned businesses, just like the one I’m trying to start. My vision is to have multiple video crews that will go to sites to cover games. I want to provide the people of Ohio access to high school and college sports they have never had access to before when it comes to live streaming and media coverage.”

Currently broadcasting local high school baseball, this fall Heart of Ohio Sports will provide livestreams of every Tiffin Columbian and Calvert Catholic football game. The business is also partnering with Dead Shark Productions to produce video commercials, and has secured title sponsorships from First National Bank of Sycamore, Your Legacy, MST Sauce Company, TPC, Xcaret, and Rodgers Flowers as title sponsors. Heart of Ohio has also joined the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and is excited to do a ribbon cutting in the next few months. The Chamber will also work to promote sponsorship opportunities for Heart of Ohio Sports.

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz was pleased with the announcement, saying, “We welcome Heart of Ohio Sports to the downtown and thank Nate on growing his entrepreneurial spirit and helping residents, alumni, and the general public experience the excitement of high school sports virtually from any location.”

About Downtown Tiffin

The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to for “Tiffin Tomorrow”, with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in downtown Tiffin, and creating plans, programs and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity. In 2014, the city of Tiffin contracted with SIEDC to act as the downtown organization and “Tiffin Tomorrow” came under the SIEDC (now TSEP) umbrella as the “Downtown Development Board,” which serves as the governing board of the downtown organization. In 2015, Tiffin joined Heritage Ohio’s Main Street Program. For more information, click here.
