Art studio and gallery to locate in Downtown Tiffin

TIFFIN, OHIO – May 2, 2022 – Local artist Chelsea Mullins announced today that she is opening her first art studio and gallery location in Downtown Tiffin at 193 S. Washington St., in the new Studio2 location shared by Heart of Ohio Sports. The business displaying, selling, and teaching art classes will open at the end of July or early August.

Mullins is a Tiffin Columbian graduate with degree in Fine Art & Art History from Terra State. She has been painting professionally for almost nine years, with a focus on commission work, portraits, murals, sculpting, and performance art. She currently serves as Co-Vice Chair of the Tiffin Municipal Arts Commission and recently painted the mural at Your Legacy Federal Credit Union in honor of their recent expansion.

In making the announcement, Mullins said, “I am excited to take this step and make art more accessible to people. I am also excited to be doing it in downtown Tiffin, where I’m joining the Tiffin Art Guild, the Poignon Project and Community Art Shed, Studio 605 Fine Art, Hawkes Crystal, Rustic Flair & Brush, and the Tiffin Glass Museum.”

In addition to her creating her own art and her work as a visual artist Mullins plans on focusing on personal, couples, and group art lessons, using a more interpretative and introspective approach. With experience in conducting local art events, like the Tiffin Music and Art Festival and successful Paint and a Pint classes at the Tiffin Brewery. “I hope to hold classes at our new studio and grow from there.” she said.

The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to for “Tiffin Tomorrow”, with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in downtown Tiffin, and creating plans, programs and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity.
