TIFFIN, OHIO – April 6, 2023 – Tavern 19 in Bloomville is set to open on Saturday, April 8. Beginning in January 2022, Pamela Hoffert, Ryan Hoffert, and Aaron Gernert have been working to renovate the location at 31 South Marion Street into a destination for the residents of Bloomville and Seneca County.

“We have big plans for the space,” said Ryan Hoffert. “By mid-summer or early-fall we plan to add a kitchen and new patio in the lot next door to create a new outdoor space for people to enjoy.” In the kitchen they plan to make pizzas, subs, and homestyle meals for customers. On Saturday, Tavern 19 will be serving fresh smoked BBQ in the evening to celebrate their grand opening.

The interior has been decorated with items gathered from around the country. One room, with a fireplace in the hood of an old pickup truck, features items from a recent trip to Tennessee and honors the heritage of that great state.

“I’m excited that Tavern 19 is opening in Bloomville,” said Bloomville Mayor Dave Auble. “Mainstreet Bloomville is a great location, and I look forward to more new businesses opening here to serve our community.”

To start, Tavern 19 will be open from 11am-1am everyday, while the owners learn the patterns and needs of the community. If you are interested in working as a bartender at this new business, reach out to the owners by messaging Tavern 19 on Facebook.
