Clouse Electric is a local business based in Tiffin and serving communities in northwest and central Ohio's commercial and industrial electrical needs. Clouse performs commercial and industrial electrical services assisting with needs such as fire and security alarm systems, data, and high voltage, to name a few items, and with new construction. Their service area includes a range of about an hour's drive from the facility in Tiffin. The businesses was started by Chuck Clouse in 1997 as a one-man operation, with a pick up truck, working out of a garage. Clouse moved to its current location at 877 US 224 in 2006, expanded into a second building in 2011, and purchased a third building in 2016. Today, the business has grown to include a fleet of 15 service trucks and a campus of three buildings, one of which will be expanding in the near future, and 26 employees, as well as some seasonal summer help. Chuck said the key to a successful business is good people. Clouse Electric is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors, through which they take advantage of an apprenticeship program. With the purchase of the third building, they have also been able to offer more training services to their employees, from their regular Monday meeting to annual OSHAA and safety meetings.
