Tiffin University ranks at #10 on BestColleges.com's recent list of America's Best Small Town Colleges. The list was created from data collected by the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), a resource maintained by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and includes 50 schools across the nation.
According to the article, "Small town campuses offer a spirit of community that can sometimes escape metropolitan areas." Some of the reasons Tiffin University was selected are the convenient location of Tiffin 90 miles from Columbus, the Sandusky River, the city's vibrant industrial past and our selection of museums, as well as an 18:1 student-teacher ratio, more than 34 major and 35 minor programs, and intramural sports. It is also noted that freshmen, sophomore and junior students are required to live on campus unless their primary residence is less than 45 miles from the school.
