Founded in 1888, Tiffin University (TU) emerged as an institution built on entrepreneurship, innovation, and agility for student success. Breaking away from a traditional college over a century ago in order to offer an alternative to conventional higher education, transformed TU into a new kind of institution motivated by educating students who understand and embrace the significance of our motto, SINE AUDACIA NULLUM PRAEMIUM, translated from Latin, to mean, without risk, there is no gain.

Today, with just over 3,000 students, Tiffin University offers nationally and internationally accredited doctorate, graduate and undergraduate degrees in business administration, top-notch academic programs in criminal justice and social sciences, and distinctive degrees in the arts and sciences. Throughout its history, the University has nurtured a learning-centered setting and a sense of community for its students, faculty and staff.  Dr. Lillian Schumacher serves as Tiffin University's sixth president.  She joined TU in 2010 and has served as President since June 2016.
