The Advertiser-Tribune has a deep history in Seneca County and remains one of its oldest businesses. Its history started when the Tiffin Tribune was born in 1845. In 1933, another local newspaper, the Daily Advertiser, merged with the Tribune to form The Advertiser-Tribune. The A-T has continually been published since that time. The paper has had a handful of owners in its existence, with current owner Ogden Newspapers Inc. purchasing the publication in 1991.
The Advertiser-Tribune still serves Seneca County and beyond with six daily newspapers per week, with a host of special publications published throughout the year. It also has its largest digital audience in history, and doubles as a full-service marketing agency with print and digital advertising. The paper is in the center of Ogden's Northwest Ohio group of papers, which also includes the daily papers in Findlay, Fostoria, Sandusky and Norwalk.
