SIEDC is pleased to announce that it has launched the search for a new top executive for 51-member, public-private economic, downtown, and community development organization serving a growing northwest Ohio community ranked among the best in the country for economic development four years in a row. The President & CEO reports to 26-member Board of Trustees and 7-member Executive Committee, has a staff of four and a $400,000 operating budget.
SIEDC is seeking competence in leadership, industrial and retail economic development, downtown development using a Main Street approach, and community development. For 2016, the following are particularly important: industrial park and spec building development, branding and website, organization and committees, business retention and expansion, and communication and marketing.
Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of successful economic development experience at a chamber, public-private, city, state, county or regional ED organization plus working knowledge of downtown and community development.
