Owners opening new business after years working in Tiffin

TIFFIN, OHIO – June 26, 2020 – After 35 and 19 years of experience as beauticians in Tiffin, Tammy Smith and Alicia Reinhart are opening their first salon each with Ultimate Touch Salon, LLC, located at 676 Miami St., Suite B. The salon opened Monday, June 22.

Ultimate Touch Salon is to offer cuts, colors and other hair services, and eventually Reinhart and Smith hope to add a nail technician.

“We are very excited to be able to realize our dream of salon ownership in Tiffin,” Smith said.

With respect to their newly renovated salon, Reinhart said, “We love our new space and the building’s owners have been great to work with.”

Nail salon opening in Downtown Tiffin

House of Beauty on Washington opened May 25

TIFFIN, OHIO – May 27, 2020 – Business owner Ana Tran is investing in Downtown Tiffin with her new nail salon, House of Beauty on Washington at 90 S. Washington St. The salon opened on May 25.

Tran has owned a salon in Toledo for 19 years and decided to move to Tiffin.

“I wasn’t considering Downtown Tiffin at first, but this is just such a nice location,” she said about her newly renovated space.

As well as traditional manicures and pedicures, Tran plans to keep her manicurists up to date on the newest techniques and latest trends.

Tiffin Mayor Aaron Montz said, “I’m always excited to see people wanting to invest in Downtown Tiffin.”

Head Shed

Head ShedMeet Margie Hodges and Chris Nominee, owners of Head Shed of Tiffin, located at 716 W. Market St. The salon started out as Westgate Hair Fashions and became Head Shed 34 years ago. The shop offers all kinds of hair services, manicures and pedicures, massages, detoxes and much more. The ladies at the salon can claim more than 200 years of combined experience and excellent customer service. “The clients know each other, it’s a family atmosphere and everyone is friendly. It’s one of the reasons I don’t want to retire yet!,” Margie said.

The ladies at the Head Shed are also very involved with Relay For Life. Each year they hold a bake sale, which brings in about $700 for their Relay team. They also sell handmade scarves – individual and in sets made for children and dolls – and donate a portion of the proceeds to the cause.
