First store in Ohio to carry company’s oils, vinegars
TIFFIN, OHIO – November 5, 2019 – Ralph’s Joy of Living is the first in Ohio to offer Olivelle olive oils and balsamic vinegars at its store at 33 N. Washington St., Tiffin.
Olivelle specializes in high quality traditional and flavor infused olive oils, balsamic vinegars, artisan sea salts, dippers, rubs, herb blends and world spices. Everyday, a tasting table of 38 oils and vinegars allows customers to taste, find the ones they love and have Ralph’s fill a bottle fresh for them from the innovative cask system. The air tight, light tight casks ensures the customer receives a fresh filled experience every visit. Customers pay a one-time fee of $3 per bottle, which when returned is replaced with a clean bottle every time they refill.
Julie Smothers said all the Olivelle products have accompanying free recipe cards that are meant to excite us to cook and inspire us to create these delicious, simple recipes at home for friends and family.
To show off their new product line, Ralph’s Joy of Living has substantially reinvested again! This time, in a new kitchen space, complete with KraftMade Vantage Cabinetry, Sub-Zero, Wolf and Cove Appliances. The new space will give flexibility for demonstrations, food & wine events, wine tastings and cooking classes starting in 2020.
Ralph Smothers said he’s proud to be one of only 70 Olivelle stores in the U.S.
“There are other olive oil stores, but nothing like this,” he said. “This is going to be another reason for people to come to Tiffin.”

The grand opening of Ralph’s Olivelle products is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the store. There will be tastings, demonstrations and chances to win prizes.

The revitalization of downtown Tiffin began in 2011, when a group of community members came together to for “Tiffin Tomorrow”, with the goal of promoting and encouraging economic development in downtown Tiffin, and creating plans, programs and actions to ensure long-term vitality and prosperity.
